    Care should be exercised in the handling of Azadine Injection. Azacitidine should retain in the original carton until use. Store permitted between 15-30°C (59-86°F).

    Azacitidine should be taken subcutaneously under the supervision of an experienced healthcare provider.

    AZACITIDINE SIDE EFFECTS

    Most common side effects of Azacitidine include weakness, nausea, anemia, thrombocytopenia, vomiting, pyrexia, leukopenia, diarrhea, hypokalemia, injection site erythema, constipation, neutropenia and ecchymosis.

    WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

    • Patients with severe pre-existing hepatic impairment are at higher risk for toxicity.
    • Should be monitored patients with renal impairment for toxicity since azacitidine and its metabolites are primarily excreted by the kidneys.
    • Need to monitor liver chemistries and serum creatinine prior to initiation of therapy and with each cycle.
    • Women of childbearing potential should be advised to avoid the intention of becoming pregnant.
