WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
- Patients with severe pre-existing hepatic impairment are at higher risk for toxicity.
- Should be monitored patients with renal impairment for toxicity since azacitidine and its metabolites are primarily excreted by the kidneys.
- Need to monitor liver chemistries and serum creatinine prior to initiation of therapy and with each cycle.
- Women of childbearing potential should be advised to avoid the intention of becoming pregnant.
