Cemiplimab is a monoclonal antibody that acts by blocking PD-L1 Pathway. It is recommended for the treatment of squamous cell skin cancer. The exact indication of this drug as per the approval is metastatic cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC). It is also prescribed for locally advanced cases that are not ideal for curative surgery. The commercial name of this drug is Libtayo, and it is available as 350mg/7mL (50mg/mL) single-dose vials for procurement. Libtayo 350mg injections are meant for the treatment of adult patients, not indicated for paediatric cases. Libtayo is administered intravenously, over 30 minutes infusion every three weeks is the standard dose. This can be continued till disease progression is noted.
